New knitwear makes our hearts soar, and it's still all about the striped sweater, with either a collar, funnel neck or a half zip. Arket's striped sweater went viral last year as the most in demand jumper on the high street - I bought three versions of the style, so I am well versed in the world of a striped collared sweater!
For 2023, Arket have resurrected the knit for 2023 - and yep, it's in stock still. That doesn't happen often...
Why do we love a striped sweater? Let us count the ways. It’s a cooler take on a Breton top, and Arket's has an uber flattering wide v-neck, something we love for showing off our zodiac necklaces, and looks spot on with mom jeans, white skinny jeans and with denim shorts too.
Much like the striped cardigan, it's a throw-on piece that can take centre stage or be a bit-part of your outfit. And with the weather taking a turn soon (once the heatwave is over), it's a great wardrobe addition - I'll be wearing mine on the school run with leggings.
How I chose the best striped collar sweaters
- Style: Stripes and a collar are the style, and the high street is awash with them. Choose from a polo-style collar or a zip-up funnel neck style.
- Price: Most of the sweaters I've included are under £100, unless it's a more luxurious knit mix like cashmere where the price is over £100.
- Trusted brands: All the brands I've chosen are ones the HELLO! team swears by. Although we've not tried on the products, the brands are some of our favourites that we shop regularly, and can vouch for the quality and value for money.
